Giving thanks: John C.

I received this note from a listener this morning. It was so encouraging to me I thought I'd share: This is a note to let you know what Chavah means to me. I’m on a six-week regimen with a PICC line, receiving antibiotics through my heart to treat a bone infection. Around three in the morning, I’m lying flat on my back, my arm positioned still to receive the medication, and my phone rests on my stomach playing Chavah. The music is so uplifting and brings such rest. It helps place me in the right position to receive HaShem’s healing and blessing. I also believe it is speaking to the souls of the nurses who care for me. Thank you for your ministry. John C. Praise God! And dear listeners, would you pray for John's complete and total healing in Yeshua's name?

Dear Chavah listeners,  I occasionally receive mail from you all thanking me for Chavah. It's a bright spot in my week when I read them. Neil & Pam C. sent me this letter recently along with a donation: Judah, "Thanks" is not enough for your labor in producing and maintaining Chavah. Truly a labor of love for Adonai and His followers. Blessings + Shalom, Neil + Pam Neil & Pam, this brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you! I'm glad Chavah is a blessing to you both. If there's any good here, it's credited to the King. Thanks for this kind letter of encouragement! I put your donation into Messiah's Music Fund for distribution to the artists on Chavah. 💖 Now, back to work, but with a smile on my face.

Giving thanks: Zemer Levav to all Chavah listeners

Fine Chavah fans,  I just opened a piece of snail mail from Messianic musicians Zemer Levav . Your donations through Messiah's Music Fund have blessed them each month. Here's what Zemer Levav writes, To Judah, or whoever checks the mail for Chavah Radio, Thank you for the ongoing financial support of Zemer Levav. We are honored to be supported by such an honest and intelligently passionate ministry!! In due season you shall reap, if you faint not!! Shalom U'vracha!! Mark & Shimrit Hanes / Zemer Levav Zemer Levav Friends, this letter is thanking me, but really, it should be thanking you, the listeners who donate to Messiah's Music Fund. Thank you for blessing Messianic musicians like Zemer Levav each month. It's a good work for the Lord!  And all glory to the One who makes it all possible: the King of Glory himself, soon returning, soon appearing before the nations and Israel. Let's keep advancing His kingdom, friends. 💖

Giselle D. writes, Shalom my name is Giselle, I'm from Brazil and I found the radio in the Google Play Store, what a great blessing, it's the best radio i've ever heard in my life. Continue in this ministry! It helps God's family a lot. In the future I want to contribute and I already put this radio in my prayers. Please continue this wonderful work, put more songs, interesting to update the app and put the singers website so that we can purchase the music albums and CDs. I'll continue building and improving Chavah and add more music every month. ♥

Giving thanks: Neil & Pam C.

As it’s Thanksgiving week here in the US, a listener wrote a letter (not an email – a genuine old fashioned letter – how sweet!) thanking God for Chavah. I was touched and wanted to show it here. Mr. Himango - We have enjoyed your ministry for a year or two. I have shared your site/station with many others. One of the things I have appreciated is the playing of new/less well known artists. Most people are qaware of Lamb, Paul Wiblur, Jonathan Settel, et cetera. But now we have new favorites!!! Thank you!! I also appreciate how the album is displayed while playing; being able to see pertinent information about the artist for future reference. Thank you so much for what you ahve created and operate. You obviously have knowledge and a gift for putting all of this together – I read your blog on how Chavah works. I will not pretend to understand the technicalitites, but I am impressed with the way it works and is user friendly for those of us who are technologically disadvantaged. Please do...

Would You Donate to Chavah?

Image
Shalom Chavah fans, Would you consider donating to Chavah? Chavah is purely a labor of love – it’s free, the apps are free, and there are zero ads. I built Chavah because I love Messiah and the Messianic community, and I wanted to preserve the great legacy of Messianic music for this generation. I think it’s a worthy cause! Running Chavah costs money. Between purchasing music, hosting thousands of songs, streaming audio to tens of thousands of listeners, and paying for copyright licenses, it costs me ~$500/month to run Chavah . I’ve reduced that cost thanks to bulk pricing and 501c3 non-profit programs. Even so, Chavah still is a monthly financial burden for a single person to pay every month. So, if Chavah is a blessing to you, I ask you to help by chipping in a few bucks : Become a Patron! Thanks for considering, fine Chavah fans. In His Service, -Judah Gabriel Himango, Chavah Messianic Radio

Almost weekly, I receive kind messages from listeners. This morning, Donna A. said, Your music has been such a blessing to me, soothing my fears and calming my troubled heart. Support you financially? Spread the news of your lovely site? Add you to my Facebook page? I don’t even know how I found you except I must say it was an act of The Lord!!! I’d like to know more about you your family and that adorable mystery person Cass! Thanks for getting back to me, Shalom in Yeshua , Donna Thanks Donna! Listener David W. writes in, I just wanted to drop you a brief line, to tell you how Chavah Messianic Radio has been encouraging me recently. As you know my college hasn't been a very easy time, and things aren't really improving that much.  Most of the time I'm very stressed, having trouble sleeping, which doesn't help when I'm taking exams.  I'm always telling God that I can't take any more, and all that seems to happen is that I get pushed harder.  But I always knew that God was there. I recently discovered the singers Lenny & Varda Harris on your station, and on Monday night, I was skipping through a few of the songs of theirs that you had.  I as looking for The Wilderness Song , as when I heard it last it seemed to mirror how I was feeling but promised that God would restore me. While looking I found another one, which helped me even more.  It was a Lenny & Varda Harris song again, it's called I Do , and I think it's about the marria...

Giving thanks: David W.

Just got this message of thanks from David W. Really encouraging! Shalom Judah My name is David W. and I live in the UK.  Although you don't know me, I'm writing this with your station Chavah Messianic Radio playing in the background.  I'm not actually supposed to write with it playing, because I'm totally blind and partially deaf.  This means I'm supposed to listen to my computer's speech system, and it's not always a good idea to do this with Music coming out of the speakers at the same time, but I'm afraid it's pretty irresistible. I wanted to write, and tell you how much I love listening to your radio station.  I came across it by accident two days ago, when I was looking for a messianic dating website.  Yes I know that sounds incongruous, but the only website I found didn't' work, so out of frustration I gave up and googled Messianic Music, and found your website.   It is wonderful, both because when I entered it, the music started p...

Giving thanks: Lori S.

Chavah listener Lori S. wrote something really encouraging today, friends, a true story inspired by Messiah’s music. Here’s what she had to say: I love listening to Chavah Messianic Radio. Today your station blessed a nursing home in Florida. A Jewish lady comes to the nursing home service that I attend on Wednesday. Today, she was feeling sad, and the chaplain spoke to her about the importance of her Jewish heritage. Then I suggested that we sing the Sh'ma. I knew it because I listen to it all the time via your station. Next week we are going to learn how to sing it so we can sing it regularly. After the service we encountered a new patient. I asked her if she would like to come to church next week. She said, "I don't go to church, I go to temple." I told her that I LOVED Jewish things. Then I asked her if she knew the Sh'ma. She sang it with me. Then the chaplain came by and she sang it to him too. That opened the door to a wonderful conversation between the tw...

Greetings!  I’m a HUGE fan of Chava Messianic Radio since August.  Glorious music.  I discovered your website on a Shabbat, and I cried the whole time I listened because the music was so anointed!  I’m wondering if you are also on Sirius radio so I can play your music while in my vehicle?  If not, any plans to also broadcast on Sirius at any point in the near future?  I also have a home Sirius radio, so I would play your music from sunup to sundown!  I’ve shared your website w/all my Messianic friends – some already knew about it, some didn’t.  They ALL LUV it, too! Also, I recently noticed Kirk and Deby Dearman playing from Kirk’s latest recording.  I knew Kirk and Deby back in the 80’s when he was our praise and worship director at a church I attended in Dallas.  Anointed couple!  His songs are so glorious and melodious.  I doubt they are Messianic at this point, but just hearing his latest work on your website is encourag...

“I just discovered your radio station and can't express how excited I am!! I've been so frustrated trying to input Messianic songs in other stations and never getting anywhere. I can't wait to purchase the songs I've only been able to find on You Tube. I'm sharing this treasure with all my friends!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Shalom!” Bill & Teri M. from New Mexico

Giving thanks: Dennis from Ohio

Chavah listener Dennis from Ohio writes in to say,  “Shalom Judah, I found your Messianic Jewish internet radio station about three weeks ago.  I am VERY impressed with it.  The music is for the most part toned down and very worshipful.  I have been listening to it for roughly 6 hours per day since I found it. The music is soothing and uplifting.  I also like the ability to request songs and to click on the ones which I like. Thank you for taking the time to put all this together and make all of this wonderful Messianic Jewish music available.  For three years I have been listening to another Messianic Jewish internet station (Sounds of Shalom).  They have live DJs for a couple hours each day, and I have become friends with them via email.  But your music is more to my liking.  On Chava I have heard some extremely beautiful music which I had never head before.  I look forward to listening every day.  Keep up the great work! Shal...

“Todah Judah!”

Todah Judah!  Thank you for adding Christopher Mann’s new album.  It is awesome!  We will actually be having him lead us in a time of worship during our upcoming 2014 UMJA Conference.  … Thank you for your music awesome ministry to the Messianic community.  You make a difference in this world.  Keep up the good mitzvah! … …where can we donate to help you…? L’chaim b’Yeshua! -Rabbi Reuel Dillon My pleasure, Reuel! So glad to hear this. It’s an honor to serve Messiah through Chavah. God gave me the gift of technology twiddling, using these talents for his purposes is hopefully some divine Return on Investment, a way to generate some interest for my Investor. :-) Regarding donations, I’d rather you just donate directly to the artists . Chavah exists only to amplify Messiah’s music and help the Messianic musicians, many of whom rely on (e.g. for housing, food, essentials) donations and music sales by you, the Messianic listener, so just donate to them or bu...

“Thank you so much for this wonderful channel!”

Michelle Secord writes in, Hi, I'm a Gentile believer who God has placed within my heart a great love for His people and His chosen land, Israel. I love my Messianic brothers and sisters, though I'm still pretty ignorant as to your beliefs, other than you accept Yeshua as Your Messiah, and therefore the New Testament as part of the whole of Gods council to us as believers. I love the Hebrew language and would love to learn, though it would probably have to be slowly, plodding along. I had 3 strokes in one event, and though I have recovered quite well, memorization is an issue, although God does wonders with His word which tends to stick like glue, verses, but maybe not their address! lol Is there anyway, for instance, to find out the English/Hebrew translation to songs? I'm betting there's websites right? I need help remembering the obvious being post-stroke, but if you have favorites I would SO appreciate an informed opinion! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for this wonderful c...

“Thank You for Chavah!”

New Chavah listener Jessie Lemus writes, Judah, I just discovered Chavah on the net and was thrilled beyond words.  Praise the Lord for your innovative radio station.  I'm passing this link on to my friends. G-d's abundant blessings to you, Jessie Stuff like this brings me a smile, folks. Thanks for listening and spreading Messiah’s tunes!

Giving thanks: Nathan Dozier

A Chavah listener from Tennessee, US, writes in to say, Shalom my brothers and sisters, When my world is in chaos you give sound to my soul. May Yah continue to bless you and your ministry. Thank you so much. Nathan Brentwood, TN, USA Nathan, it’s our honor to be in service to Messiah and his disciples. We’re encouraged in your words. Thanks! Shalom.

Giving Thanks: Can we donate?

One of our listeners wrote in, Shalom! Thank you for blessing our home with great music from Adonai’s talented musicians for several months now. We did not see on your web site a means for donating to your ministry.  Could you tell us how we can contribute? The Rogers Family This is really encouraging to hear! But Chavah is purely a labor of love, I’d rather not take donations or advertising dollars. Instead, if you want to donate, donate to Messiah’s musicians. Buy their music, or just make a donation to their cause. For example, my holy brother and friend Micha’el Ben David has been laboring in Israel for years; purchasing his music will help provide food and housing for him. Since Messiah’s musicians are the ones who make Chavah possible, I’d rather see the money go to them. Thanks!
