New music: Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel Artists - Pe Echad פה אחד (One Voice)

A very special treat for you, dear listeners, on this special holy day, the 40th day after Passover when Yeshua ascended into heaven (Acts 1:3-11). A new Messianic album from Israel born in the midst of violent persecution:

Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel Artists - Peh Echad פא אחד (One Voice)


This album is a live worship album recorded at the Pavillion in Jerusalem last year during which dozens of far-right ultra-Orthodox Jews began to riot and try to shut down the event. Anti-missionary groups in Israel tried to disrupt and prevent the event from occurring. Dozens of mostly young Haredim harassed attendees with shouting, whistling, blocking the entrance, and blasting toy trumpets. Protesters pushed and shoved Israelis trying to enter, with one 82 year old man punched in the head while shielding a child from the protesters.

Eventually attendees had to be personally escorted by Israeli police to the entrance while protesters tried to block Israelis from entering and hearing these praises for King Yeshua.

Friends, the Bible tells us to rejoice in persecution and to praise in difficult times (James 1). This album was birthed amidst precisely that. Let it birth in you a new joy and closeness to our Master, the King of Kings Himself, our joy and our salvation Yeshua Messiah the Lord!

The album name, Pe Echad (One Voice) is drawn from the Book of Romans: 

"That with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of Our Lord Yeshua the Messiah"

It features appearances from Shai Sol, Shilo Ben Hod, Keren Silver, Emanuel Roro, and even a special cover of "He Shall Reign" by Eli Ben Moshe, son of Messianic music pioneer Marc Chopinsky of Israel's Hope. 💗

Aviad Cohen has passed away

Friends, I’m saddened to announce that Messianic musician Aviad Cohen has passed away yesterday, according to a Facebook post from his family. I knew Aviad for many years; he contributed his music to Chavah years ago, and before that, I knew him through my younger brother when the two of them met in person by chance in Jerusalem. Aviad produced 4 albums for God, including 3 techno albums and 1 Scripture reading album: Hooked on the Truth Firestarter Good News to Mission Control Scripturesonics Vol. 1: The Good News Aviad’s last album, Scripturesonics, is a stirring Scripture reading album set to orchestral music. It’s my personal favorite. Aviad made big splashes when he, as a conservative Jew and rapper known as 50 Shekel , came to belief in Yeshua as Israel’s messiah . His public conversion made him a target for anti-missionaries and Jews who considered his belief in Yeshua to be a betrayal of Judaism. At the time of this writing, it's not clear how Aviad died.
