New music: Sarah Benedick – Come Away

Shalom Chavah fans, New music rollout on Chavah, contributed by the artist herself: Sarah and her husband Andy live in Melbourne, Florida.  They have three children.  Sarah is a worship leader, singer/songwriter and musician.  She has always loved to sing and is a classically trained vocalist, as well as a piano / keyboard player. During college, she took a songwriting class and had a desire to write her own music.  It wasn't until years later that her songwriting developed.  The first song, You Are (Unfailing Love), began as a prayer for emotional and physical healing.   After walking through a long season of waiting and learning to surrender her gifts and talents to the Lord, Sarah began writing more songs.  Be Still was inspired by a friend who was battling cancer, and became a source of strength and encouragement for others who were facing similar struggles. Seeing how this music could impact lives, Sarah's desire was to record her music to sh...

New Israeli music on Chavah: Yamma Ensemble - Basket Full of Stars This band from Tel Aviv is amazing! They utilize ancient instruments like the duduk, oud, kapuz, ney, and shofar to add fresh melodies to traditional music of Sephardi, Hasidic, Babylonian, and Yemenite Jewish communities. The result is something unique and beautiful. Yamma's first album on Chavah has been well-received by Chavah's community, and we're glad to start playing this new album. A special thanks to the band for allowing us to play their music on Chavah. Please purchase their music over at yammaensemble.com or support them via Patreon . Enjoy the fresh Israeli music, and an early shabbat shalom to you all.

The album artists describe it like this: In the weeks before the High Holy days, Jewish people across Israel and around the world recite Slichot, prayers and poems beseeching the God of the universe to hear and forgive. On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, four days before Yom Kippur, more than 800 believers from across Israel gathered together for a special concert, “Panai El Adonai” (My Face Toward the Lord). We joined together at the Pavilion in Jerusalem to worship the God of Israel through original and traditional songs of worship based on Scripture and other ancient writings. Together we interceded for the salvation of the people of Israel. Awesome! I think you all will enjoy this beautiful new ...

Shabbat shalom, holy friends. Fresh new Messianic music on Chavah for your listening pleasure and edification in the Lord! Sue Samuel – Songs from the Secret Place We spoke with Sue a few weeks back about getting her music on Chavah, and we’re pleased she was receptive to the idea, and now we get the first of her music on the station. Sue Samuel is a Messianic Believer in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) who loves to sing, worship, and write songs all to His glory. Having lived victoriously through health challenges and heartbreak, her greatest desire is to convey a sense of wonder, amazement and awe for all the L-rd has done, in a language that spans generations and cultures. She longs to comfort others with the comfort she, herself has received of G-d. Her music can be described as folky/adult contemporary with a Hebraic flare, and her voice has been compared to Natalie Merchant, Patsy Cline, Christine Dente, and Joni Mitchell. If you are looking for some calm, comforting, "secr...
