Giving thanks: Betty M.

Greetings!  I’m a HUGE fan of Chava Messianic Radio since August.  Glorious music.  I discovered your website on a Shabbat, and I cried the whole time I listened because the music was so anointed!  I’m wondering if you are also on Sirius radio so I can play your music while in my vehicle?  If not, any plans to also broadcast on Sirius at any point in the near future?  I also have a home Sirius radio, so I would play your music from sunup to sundown!  I’ve shared your website w/all my Messianic friends – some already knew about it, some didn’t.  They ALL LUV it, too!

Also, I recently noticed Kirk and Deby Dearman playing from Kirk’s latest recording.  I knew Kirk and Deby back in the 80’s when he was our praise and worship director at a church I attended in Dallas.  Anointed couple!  His songs are so glorious and melodious.  I doubt they are Messianic at this point, but just hearing his latest work on your website is encouraging!  I’m praying for them to make the transition in Abba’s perfect timing!

Blessings to you for broadcasting this wonderful website.

That was just so encouraging to hear, Betty. Thank you, sincerely. It spurs me on in growing Chavah further.

Chavah isn’t on Sirius; I haven’t looked into that. For listening on the go, I recommend playing Chavah on your phone.

(Optionally, you can then run a single audio cable from your phone to your car stereo’s Auxilliary Input, and now Chavah will play over your car’s stereo system.)

Todah rabah!

Aviad Cohen has passed away

Friends, I’m saddened to announce that Messianic musician Aviad Cohen has passed away yesterday, according to a Facebook post from his family. I knew Aviad for many years; he contributed his music to Chavah years ago, and before that, I knew him through my younger brother when the two of them met in person by chance in Jerusalem.Aviad produced 4 albums for God, including 3 techno albums and 1 Scripture reading album:Hooked on the TruthFirestarterGood News to Mission ControlScripturesonics Vol. 1: The Good NewsAviad’s last album, Scripturesonics, is a stirring Scripture reading album set to orchestral music. It’s my personal favorite.Aviad made big splashes when he, as a conservative Jew and rapper known as 50 Shekel, came to belief in Yeshua as Israel’s messiah. His public conversion made him a target for anti-missionaries and Jews who considered his belief in Yeshua to be a betrayal of Judaism. At the time of this writing, it's not clear how Aviad died. One friend says he passed a…

FAQ: How do I request a song?

Q. I don’t see the song request feature in Chavah. Where is it?A. It’s the ‘loudspeaker’ button at the top. Click that button, and then type the name of a song, artist, or album:Click the song you’re looking for, then click the ‘Request’ button:You’re done!Chavah will play the song instantly for you. Other people listening to the station will hear the song request as soon as their current song finishes.(p.s. Don’t like a song that someone requested? Thumb it down. Chavah will play something else for you, and the next time that song is requested, she’ll skip sending it to you.)(p.p.s. Looking for a song, but don’t quite remember the name? This is a great way to find it. Just type anything you do remember about the song, whether album, artist, or name (even if incomplete) and Chavah will do her best to find it for you.)
